'Of and By Women Artists' Film Series Continues

The Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery will screen "Our City Dreams" by Chiara Clement at 7 p.m., Feb. 22. After the film, UNL professors Marissa Vigneault and Wendy Weiss will lead a discussion. The screening and talk are free and open to the public.
Filmed over the course of two years, "Our City Dreams" is an invitation to visit the creative spaces of five women artists, each of whom possesses her own energy, drive and passion. These women, who span different decades and represent diverse cultures, have one thing in common beyond making art: the city to which they have journeyed and now call home - New York. more...

NET Television Presents 'Secrets Beneath the Ice' Documentary Screening
A free screening of the NET Television documentary "Secrets Beneath the Ice" will be presented at 7 p.m., Feb. 22 in the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center. All UNL faculty, staff and students are invited.
"Secrets Beneath the Ice" features researchers involved with ANDRILL, an international research project that is revealing clues to the past and future climate change in the rock and sediment beneath Antartica. This NET Television documentary premiered nationally on the PBS series NOVA in December. An NET Television crew made several trips to Antarctica to shoot the documentary. more...

'Join the West Wing' Federal Job Search Workshop is Today

Career Services will host "Join the West Wing," a federal job search workshop from 4:30-6:30 p.m., Feb. 22 in the Nebraska Union. The workshop will provide students with resources for the federal job search, how to write a federal resume and how to network with federal employers.
A panel discussion will provide an inside look on the federal employment process. Students may attend one or both sessions.
Barney's Version; Bitiful Play at the Ross
UNL's Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center presents Barney's Version and Bitiful. Both films will screen through Mar. 3.
