Lincoln PhotoFest Awards is March 1
Sheldon Museum of Art will host a special reception for participants of the 2011 Lincoln PhotoFest contest to see which images take home cash prizes at 5 p.m., March 1 in the Sheldon. The reception is free and open to the public.
Lincoln PhotoFest is a community-wide celebration of photography. Exhibitions will include Sheldon's "Abstract Photography" collection. Many art galleries across Lincoln, in addition to some alternative spaces, feature work by nationally known artists, established local artists and some of the city's finest young emerging photographers.

Public Reception 4 p.m. Today With CIC Delegation
The delegation from the Committee on Institutional Cooperation will take part in a public reception, 4 to 5 p.m., today in the Nebraska Union Regency Suite. The event is open to all faculty, staff and students.
The CIC is a consortium of the Big Ten universities plus the University of Chicago. The group works to advance the academic missions of its members, provide opportunities for faculty and students, leverage the power of shared resources and collaborate on innovative programs. Deadline For Pass/No Pass Option is March 4
The deadline for UNL students to change classes to a pass/no pass status is March 4.
The pass/no pass option allows students to earn credit for a course without having a grade calculate in their GPA. The instructor will award a "P" if the student earns a "C" average or higher in the course and an "N" if they earn a "C-" or lower. Neither the "P" or the "N" calculate in the student's semester or cumulative GPA. more...
Barney's Version; Biutiful Play at the Ross
UNL's Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center presents Barney's Version and Biutiful. Both films will screen through Mar. 3.
