Author to Discuss New Book on Nebraska Aviation
Wings Over Nebraska

Vince Goeres will discuss and sign copies of his new book "Wings Over Nebraska: Historic Aviation Photographs" at 7 p.m., March 9 at the University Bookstore. A book signing will follow. The event is free and open to the public.

Goeres lives in Lincoln and has volunteered at the Nebraska State Historical Society for 20 years. His passion for aviation began when he learned to fly at age 16 and continued through his career as a banker.

Campus Rec Offers Free Fitness and Nutrition Workshops
Exercise on the go

Campus Rec is offering fitness and nutrition workshops on March 9 and 10. The sessions are free for UNL students and Campus Rec members. Admission for others is $6.

On March 9 the session "Exercises On The Go" will be offered 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Campus Rec Center, room 55c. The hands-on workshop will teach equipment-less exercises to strength the body when a person cannot find the time to go to a gym or fitness center. Participants are asked to wear exercise clothes for this workshop. more...

Waste Land; Oscar-Nominated Shorts 2011: Animation and Live Action at the Ross

UNL's Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center presents Waste Land and Oscar-Nominated Shorts of 2011 in Animation and Live Action. Screenings for all films will run through Mar. 10.

More information about each of the films and schedules, as well as online ticket purchasing, is available at the Ross website.
