GamePlan Architecture exhibition opens Friday

In this exhibition, visitors will get an up-to-date look at the new Pinnacle Bank Arena and Memorial Stadium's East Stadium expansion before the venues are open to the public. The exhibit details the arena and stadium designs from the beginning stages of construction and planning through final drawings. Exhibition highlights include interior details, materials facts and figures, architectural drawings, three-dimensional models and digital media images. '5 Weeks to a 5K' training begins tomorrow on East Campus

Campus Recreation is offering an easy five-week running program for beginning runners. The group will meet each Friday from Sept. 7 to Oct. 5 at 7 a.m. outside the Activities Building on East Campus. Fee is $10 for UNL students and CREC members; $15 for the public. Read more about this program in Today@UNL.

Art exhibition, new MEDICI Gallery open Friday

The Department of Art and Art History is celebrating two important events on Sept. 7. It will open the first Nebraska National Collegiate Juried Art Exhibition in the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery.

On that same night, it will also celebrate the opening of the new MEDICI Gallery. Both events will be on the first floor of Richards Hall, located just south of Memorial Stadium. Read more about these openings in Today@UNL.

Fashion Week local event is tonight

NuTech Ventures

Fashion's Night Out Lincoln, locally presented by the University Program Council, will feature work from local designers as well as runway shows live-streamed from New York City. Local boutiques will also show their collections and offer giveaways and drawings for Lincoln's fashionistas.

Fashion's Night Out is tonight, Sept. 6 in the Nebraska Union Centennial Room. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m and admission is free for all UNL students, faculty, staff and the Lincoln community. Read more about Fashion's Night Out in Today@UNL.

UNL launches Nebraska App

UNL has launched the Nebraska App, a suite of mobile applications that makes essential university resources available on mobile devices. Students can check grades, access course content and browse the course catalog. They can access the public directory and get in touch instantly, keep tabs on Husker sports, find places on the campus map, stay informed with the latest campus news, watch videos, and even listen to podcasts of popular lectures in iTunesU.

"UNL is moving services to the where the students are in terms of devices and network access"," said Mark Askren, Chief Information Officer. "Students now have a much more powerful connection to UNL via their mobile device." Read more about Nebraska App in Today@UNL.
