Nebraska Extension is presenting an "Introduction to Basic Horse Management" workshop series via Zoom, open to all who are interested in learning more about horses. 4-H leaders, parents and youth are welcome. Expand on your horse knowledge and ask questions! This introductory virtual horse clinic will be each Wednesday during the month of May, 6–7:30 p.m. (May 3, 10, 17 & 24). Recorded links to each night's information can be provided if you are unable to attend by Zoom at that time.
New 2023 topics include:
• Equine First Aid
• Managing and Minimizing Vices
• Biosecurity
• Bits
Each participant will receive an interactive kit which will include a mini equine first aid kit, printed material and beginning horsemanship online course codes.
Deadline to sign up to receive kits by the start of the workshop is Monday, April 17. You may still sign up to participate all the way up to Monday, April 24, but arrival of your kit prior to the start date cannot be guaranteed.
