Dr. Dan-el Padilla-Peralta to present on campus - October 27th

the Department of Classics and Religious Studies at UNL is very excited to be able to bring Dr. Dan-el Padilla-Peralta to campus. Dr. Padilla-Peralta received his Ph.D. in Classics from Stanford University in 2014 and holds B.A. degrees from Princeton University and Oxford University. He currently holds a fellowship at the Columbia University Society of Fellows. He is also the author of a memoir, Undocumented: A Dominican Boy’s Odyssey from a Homeless Shelter to the Ivy League (Penguin Books, 2015). Dr. Padilla-Peralta will give a talk called “Platano Classics: ancient Greece and Rome through undocumented eyes.” It will be at 4:00 pm in the Unity Room of the Gaughan Multicultural Center on City Campus. This exciting and inspiring talk is free and open to the public.
