New Software Development minor

The Software Development minor is a specialized curriculum offered by the CSCE department that represents a 5 course sequence (CSCE 120, 220, 320, 464, and a semester-long capstone experience delivered through the Raikes program). This minor represents a value-added experience to other degree programs and gives students skills that are highly attractive to employers. Last year, CSCE attracted students from every college representing 17 different majors.

The next offering of CSCE 120 is this Fall and meets TR 5PM - 6:15PM to accommodate as many students as possible. No previous knowledge is required and no high-level math background is necessary. CSCE would especially welcome incoming freshmen at NSE, though seats are limited. This minor is not open to Computer Science or Computer Engineering majors. More information on the introductory course, as well as show cases of previous year’s projects can be found at http://learningtocode.unl.edu
