Nebraska Rep presents one-night only 'The Rep's Rising Stars'

The Nebraska Repertory Theatre, the state’s only regional professional theatre, associated with the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film in the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts, continues its first year-round season March 30 with a one-night only celebration of Johnny Carson School student work with "The Rep's Rising Stars."

This production is directed by Sasha Dobson. Get a glimpse of future Rep performers at "The Rep’s Rising Stars" student showcase. The evening will feature the very best student work of the year from the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film. Get an entertaining and moving glimpse of the impact theater training is making in the lives of these emerging artists.

The performance is in the Lab Theatre, third floor of the Temple Building at 12th and R streets on March 30 at 7:30 p.m. Seating is limited, and advanced tickets are recommended.

Individual tickets are $14, $7 for students and members of OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute). Admission is complimentary for 2017-2018 Nebraska Rep season ticket holders and Johnny Carson School faculty, staff and students.

The performance, which will be continuous without intermission, includes work by the following students: Emmalee Allen, Faye Davis, Grace Debetaz, Ethan Greenlee, Jazmine Huertas, Grant Koch, Max McCutcheon, Hannah Ramsgard, Hilda Rey, Karen Richards, Elaine Stueve, Arin Turnage, Jesse Turos, Cullen Wiley and Taylor Winks.

The Nebraska Repertory Theatre is the resident theatre company of the Lied Center for Performing Arts.
