• Krista Lawrence (M.M. 2017) won the top vocalist prize in the Americas division of the 2018 Rising Talents of the World competition in the emerging young artists category. This international competition is based in London, U.K. Lawrence was a student of Coordinator of Musical Theatre Studies Alisa Belflower's studio.
• Two recent photography graduate students from the School of Art, Art History & Design placed in the 2018 Lenscratch Student Prize. Zora Murff (M.F.A. 2018) was selected as this year's Lenscratch Student Prize Winner for his work, "Re-Making the Mark." See Murff's story at https://go.unl.edu/z7uu. Murff's work is also currently on view at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco through Oct. 28. John-David Richardson (M.F.A. 2018) received 2nd place in the competition. Richardson's series, "Someday I'll Find the Sun," is an honest and empathetic look at class divide and systemic poverty. View Richardson's story at https://go.unl.edu/kmo5.
