New SNR Faculty announces new course

With a background in Applied Climate and Spatial Science, Dr. Qi joins UNL faculty and will offer GIS for Agriculture and Natural Resources in the Spring of 2019. NRES 498/898 is an introduction to conceptual foundations and applications of computer-based
geographic information systems (GIS). GIS database development, spatial data analysis, spatial modeling, GIS implementation and administration.

Dr. Qi's interests lie in GIS, Remote Sensing, Spatial Data Science, Applied Ecology, and Precision Agriculture. Select publications appear in The International Journal of Wildland Fire and Remote Sensing of Environment.
