CALEB LINDHORST WINS THIRD PRIZE AT ASABE ORAL/POSTER COMPETITION
Caleb Lindhorst (MS, advisor Santosh Pitla) won 3rd prize for his paper and presentation at ASABE, titled "Dynamic ROPS Test for Tractors over 6,000 kg." The ASABE Oral/Poster Competition was held at the ASABE Annual International Meeting in Detroit, Michigan. Caleb submitted his paper within the Energy Systems and Ergonomics, Health and Safety (ES & ESH) technical communities. ES covers topics in biofuels, biomass energy, electrotechnology, energy systems, renewable power generation, and miscanthus; ESH covers topics in farm safety programs, injuries, grain elevator safety, and use of ROPS.

GRADUATE STUDENTS WIN TRAVEL AWARDS TO ATTEND NATIONAL CONFERENCES
Several graduate students were recipients of travel awards to attend and present at conferences this year. The College of Engineering Graduate Student Conference Travel Grant program supports travel for graduate students to present technical posters or presentations as first-authors at scientific conferences. The BSE Elenore Gakemeier Swarts Graduate Student Travel Award supports student travel to conferences, preference given for those students who are presenting posters, papers, or talks.
