TOBACCO USE AND INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS

Ian Newman and John DeFrain have recently published a new book about tobacco users and intimate relationships. Newman and DeFrain are CEHS emeriti faculty. The book explores the role of smoking on personal relationships. It tells the stories of smokers and non-smokers, and offers a balanced discussion of the effects of tobacco use in various contexts.
They used questionnaires to collect data from people across the USA. They also explore how health policy and public policy can better serve both smokers and non-smokers, as well as what the future may hold for the regulation of tobacco use.
