Canvas will be the official and only learning management system used at UNL by the summer of 2018. Blackboard will only be available by request for the Spring 2018 term.
As a faculty member, you can receive Canvas support by:
1. Contacting Tareq Daher (tdaher2@unl.edu) to schedule one-on-one training on Canvas and evidence-based course design.
2. Taking advantage of the 24/7 Canvas Chat support by selecting the Help menu from the top right corner of the screen in Canvas and then clicking on the “Chat with Canvas Support” option.
3. Searching the Canvas Guides.
4. Emailing canvas@unl.edu for technical support issues.
5. Completing the online Canvas 101 faculty training.
The Continuous Improvement of Teaching and Learning committee recommends that faculty have all their courses moved from Blackboard to Canvas by the end of this Fall term.
