University of Nebraska–Lincoln students have a great opportunity to apply for the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) Collegiate Award. Finalists and recipients of the NCWIT Collegiate Award receive prizes, recognition, cash, and exclusive opportunities.

The NCWIT Collegiate Award honors the outstanding computing accomplishments of undergraduate and graduate students who self-identify as women, genderqueer, or non-binary. Conferred annually, the award recognizes technical contributions to projects that demonstrate a high level of innovation and potential impact. Past projects include: software and app development, machine learning, big data, bioinformatics, cybersecurity, space, and more.

The multi-tiered award structure includes Winner and Honorable Mention.

The NCWIT Collegiate Award is sponsored by Qualcomm and Amazon with additional support from Palo Alto Networks.

Apply by October 15.

Requirements:
• Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students who self-identify as women, genderqueer, or non-binary pursuing technical fields of study
• Preliminary Round application deadline is October 15th, 2020. Apply now.
• Register for upcoming Application Q&A live-video chats with an AiC Team Member
• Encourage a collegiate student to apply
• Finalists for the NCWIT Collegiate Award will be invited to participate in the Finalist Round in December and will receive a $150 Virtual Gift Card.
• Recipients receive a cash prize of up to $10,000, a trophy, invitation to the 2021 NCWIT Summit on Women & IT, and more.
