The Engineering Education Research group is conducting a study to investigate the question: What essential elements do engineering students include in their technical arguments? Explore how to improve writing skills instruction for engineers.
If you are in your second through senior year of your undergraduate engineering program and above 19 years of age, you're invited to participate in this research study.
You will be asked to write an argumentative text (30 minutes) in response to a given prompt and then participate in a semi-structured interview (30 minutes) regarding your knowledge of argumentative writing. The total duration is 70 minutes of your time. Participation will take place on UNL City Campus. There are no risks involved in this study and you will be compensated with a $30 e-gift card.
