ITS is currently seeking a security assistant.
Primary duties include monitoring a Symantec anti-virus console and notifying students of malware that has been identified on their computer, and offering assistance in cleaning the machine. The position will also assist in the daily monitoring of security dashboards, identifying anomalous traffic, security awareness training and assisting ITS security analysts in gathering additional information and responding to these events.
Qualifications: Ability to maintain the highest level of trust and confidentiality, follow directions and written procedures, keep detailed documentation of work performed and act in a professional manner. Basic knowledge of computers is helpful. Federal Work-Study preferred but not required.
Pay and hours: $10/hr. Up to 20 hours a week during the academic year. Summer hours possible.
