The deadline to apply for the Nebraska Honors Program membership has been extended until Dec. 15.
Current UNL first and second-year students can now apply for membership (beginning in January) until Dec. 15.
The University Honors Program offers high-achieving, motivated students opportunities for enhanced academic experiences within and outside of the classroom. In addition, Honors offers:
• Early registration (register first among your class standing)
• Access to small, exclusive Honors seminars
• Close relationships with faculty mentors
• Specialized Honors advising
• Leadership development opportunities
• Access to Honors housing
• Honors credit for valuable co-curricular experiences like study abroad, internship, and research.
Application requires academic history information, a resume, a 500 word essay about why you are interested in Honors, and at least a 3.5 cumulative college GPA. No letters of recommendation.
