President Donald J. Trump has declared the day a National Day of Mourning throughout the United States for former President George H. W. Bush, meaning the federal government will be closed. Governor Ricketts subsequently announced the Wednesday closure of Nebraska State Government agencies, including the university.
Buildings—including the library and the union—will also be closed this day. Classes and regularly scheduled events will resume Thursday.
