TD Ameritrade is hiring a full-time Rotational Infrastructure Engineer to begin in June 2019.

TD Ameritrade is looking for dynamic, technically savvy candidates for our Rotational Infrastructure Engineer role within the Emerging Talent Program starting in June 2019 in Omaha.

The 18-month immersive program offers participants a unique way to jump-start their career through the following opportunities:
• Program introduction which includes orientation, team building, and foundational business exposure in our Southlake, Texas location for your first two weeks
• Three 6-month rotations in different areas of Infrastructure Technology (Engineering, Operations, and Infrastructure Development) to gain diverse experience in multiple disciplines, work with technology experts, and learn about the industry
• Interact with cross functional associates and teams and gain insight about our business, client experience, and technology platforms
• Hands-on experience with solutions built on proprietary and industry leading technologies
• Professional development to build and foster leadership skills
• Dedicated Program Manager and mentors for coaching and support

Responsibilities:
As a Rotational Infrastructure Engineer, each of your rotations will focus on building your infrastructure, development, and engineering capabilities. Through in-depth experiences within multiple departments, you will grow your financial services and technology industry knowledge and learn various aspects of TD Ameritrade.

Rotational experiences may include opportunities to:
• Work on critical systems, technologies, and architectures that significantly influence our overall business
• Leverage infrastructure and compute architecture patterns to design solutions for a high throughput environment to enable product development and industry innovation
• Utilize various methodologies to improve our offerings to clients and internal business partners with the goals of technical flexibility, information security, platform resiliency, scalability and cost efficiency
• Leverage cutting edge Infrastructure based strategies such as open source solutions, cybersecurity tools, advanced networking, data center resiliency, DevOps tools and processes, agile methodologies, voice and data, operating systems, server virtualization, and more.

Requirements:
• Graduating with an undergraduate or graduate degree in December 2018 or May/June 2019
• 3.0 minimum major GPA
• Majors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science or related field preferred; other majors in Business, Economics, Statistics, Management or related business field with proven technical capabilities and passion for technology may be considered
• Relevant internship, co-op, or work experience preferred
• 1+ years leadership or extracurricular activity involvement
• High levels of curiosity about technology and a willingness to deep dive into an immersive learning culture focused on developing expertise in various areas (Cloud/Infrastructure Engineering and Development/Advanced Technology)
• Experience with data center and user centric infrastructure; public and private cloud concepts; or container based designs preferred
• Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment preferred
• Foundational knowledge in modern programming languages
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to identify and articulate problems, and offer prospective solutions
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
