Enjoy spring break next week, students! There will be no classes March 18-22, but university offices will still be open during their regular hours all week.

Priority Registration for the fall 2019 semester will open when you return on Monday, March 25. Plan ahead for registration by researching classes in advance, checking your registration time, familiarizing yourself with the new Enrollment Scheduler in MyRED, and meeting with an academic advisor if necessary.

You can view your specific registration time in MyRED in your messages section. Registration times are randomly assigned based on class standing according to credit hours completed. Registration times will be available after March 15.

Courses are available to view in MyRED, so you can begin planning out your semester and placing classes in your shopping cart now.

The Office of the University Registrar has implemented the Enrollment Scheduler for students in MyRED. The new Enrollment Scheduler will streamline the registration process by automating the schedule planning process.

The Enrollment Scheduler represents the ‘Enroll’ piece of the ‘Plan, Enroll, Progress’ method for students to proceed through their academic programs.

Be sure to check MyRED for any holds on your account before your registration time.

You can schedule an appointment with your academic advisor in MyPlan at https://its.unl.edu/myunl/, then in your Success Network to find a link to an appointment calendar.

Walk-in appointments are also available in the College of Arts and Sciences Advising Center in Oldfather 107 or the Engineering Student Services area in Nebraska Hall.

How the Enrollment Scheduler Works:
In the new Enrollment Scheduler, students will select courses and enter break times to automatically generate optimized schedules that balance learning with other life activities. Before priority registration, students can access the Enrollment Scheduler and place schedules in their shopping cart. Students can compare schedules prior to adding to their shopping cart and have the ability to send to their advisor for review.

Benefits:
The Enrollment Scheduler allows students to email their schedules to advisors with questions, and advisors to add course suggestions for students to incorporate into their schedules prior to actual enrollment. After the student completes schedule planning, the student will enroll during their designated appointment time.

Students should familiarize themselves with the new Enrollment Scheduler before Priority Registration opens on March 25. Contact your academic advisor with questions.
