The Office of the University Registrar is hiring an Information Systems Specialist.

Description of Work:
Work with Senior Assistant Registrar to implement and maintain existing and new software that supports the campus community (undergraduate education, advising community, graduate studies, and enrollment management) with student information needs. Create and update existing electronic forms and workflow. Conduct systems administration and testing system modifications and troubleshooting. Conduct query writing, reporting and data analysis. Transform queried data to be displayed in user interfaces. Develop needed reports emanating from the information systems. Aid in the development of system communication; preparation of documentation of best practices for use at UNL; and in preparation and delivery of training to UNL personnel and students. Respond to general inquiries and a wide range of questions or concerns associated with the software.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree plus one year of employment experience with information systems required; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience writing system queries necessary. Knowledge of information systems essential. Ability to conduct database queries and report writing required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degee in MIS, education or business preferred. Experience enriching user interfaces helpful. Prefer 1-3 years of full-time, applicable employment experience. Knowledge of how university work is accomplished desirable.
