Dinner and a Math Problem in six locations

"Diamonds and Ovals and Squiggles, Oh my! The Mathematics of the Game of Set."

This is the title of the presentation that will be the focus of several Dinner & a Math Problem events taking place this fall across the state. Mathematics teachers who attend will enjoy a simple dinner, learn how to play the game of SET, and learn some fun mathematics related to the game.

The first Dinner & a Math Problem event to take place in Seward/Brainard will feature the presentation "Conway's Rational Tangles". Learn how to associate numbers with twists and turns and "knots" to discover a fascinating yet simple application of mathematics.
