Angela Penner, a Primarily Math Cohort 3 teacher at Sheridan Elementary in Lincoln, was named A+ Educator of the Week in the Journal Star on Oct. 1, 2012.
Penner, a kindergarten teacher, was nominated by a parent, Beth Anne Bryson, for her help with transitioning Bryson's son into school.
Penner has been teaching for six years, with the last five at Sheridan.
