Jo Boaler of YouCubed said that she is frequently asked by teachers: “If we do not use timed tests, how can students learn math facts?” The generational use of damaging timed tests has not only set up a nation of maths traumatized adults but led teachers to believe there is only one way to teach maths facts. This new film and new presentation is the start of a broad messaging campaign about the need to teach maths facts through engaging, visual, and creative methods. This helps students associate maths with joy instead of fear, which surely must be one of our most important goals as teachers. Please share the film at https://tinyurl.com/ycqz59wl widely.
