Materials challenges for lasers topic of seminar

Dr. John H. Campbell, founder of Materials Science Solutions, Livermore, CA, presents a seminar titled, “Materials research challenges in construction and operation of the world’s largest lasers" on Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 4-5 p.m. in Jorgensen Hall 136. The public is welcome.

Get your pizza slices on Thursdays

Pizza slices for sale on Thursdays(LNK) Engineers Without Borders (EWB) is selling pizza slices every Thursday in Nebraska Hall, near the stairs on the west side of the building. Members of EWB will sell the pizza and drinks beginning at 10:30 a.m. until they are gone.

 

Getting informed about international education on Wednesdays

(LNK) Allison Hinesley will be outside of the Engineering Library (W204 Nebraska Hall) every Wednesday this semester from 11 a.m.-noon to answer questions about opportunities to study abroad and the processes involved. This is a great way to start the conversation and get more information.

 

SAME offers CAD seminars at PKI

Nov. 7 is course withdrawal deadline for Omaha

(OMA) Friday, Nov. 7 (before midnight) is the last date to withdraw from a Fall 2014 course with a grade of "W" via Mavlink. This is also the last day to change a course to "Audit" or to "CR/NC.” For more information, contact your academic advisor

 

Omaha offers Study Stops three times weekly

Engineering Study Stops held three times weekly(OMA) Engineering Study Stops will be held three times a week in PKI. Students can work in groups, get help with their math, chemistry and physics courses and meet with peer turors. Study stop times are Mondays and Wednesdays 6:30-9:30 p.m. and Sundays 6-9 p.m.
