The college is creating a new chapter of the national Engineering Ambassadors Network, a nationally recognized group of university programs, and is looking for undergraduate students who are interested in helping to engage the next generation of engineers.
This program is seeking highly qualified UNL students to serve as Engineering Ambassadors during the 2015 spring semester and beyond. The goals of the program is to provide exceptional outreach service throughout the college, develop the communication and leadership skills of the Ambassadors, and provide opportunities and experiences that will lead to personal and professional growth. These Engineering Ambassadors are involved primarily with K-12 outreach activities for the college.
The deadline for applications is Dec. 1. The application form can be found online at: http://go.unl.edu/unl-ea. Applicants must also provide a resume and an unofficial transcript.
A group of 35-40 potential candidates, from both the Lincoln and Omaha campuses, will be contacted by Dec. 4 to set up an interview time. Interviews will take place Dec. 9-10 and final decisions will be communicated to applicants by Dec. 12.
