The Office of Graduate Studies will be hosting an Orientation for all new Teaching Assistants at UNL on Aug. 20 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Nebraska Union.
All newer or first-time TAs are encouraged to attend. This event will discuss policies and expectations of TAs and teaching resources available to graduate teaching assistants, as well as provide workshops on grading and assessment, effective lecturing, and classroom management. This orientation is designed to provide teaching assistants with training to help them feel prepared for the classroom whether they are an instructor of record, lab TA, or serve as a TA in some other role.
Registration will begin in April.
