Nebraska Extension and UNL’s Office of Emergency Planning and Preparedness are proud to recognize three additional county Extension offices for their efforts to complete emergency action plans in 2020:
- Brown, Rock, and Keya Paha Counties
- Cherry County
- Custer County
By going through the emergency action plan (EAP) process, these counties identified shelter-in-place locations, outlined evacuation procedures, created office maps, and compiled staff contact lists. These county offices join 31 other offices/units in completing EAPs this year, and our organization has surpassed the numbers of EAPs completed in 2019. In the new Engagement Zone model, Zone 9 and Zone 10 have achieved 100% participation in EAP development in 2020.
All counties and Extension units are encouraged to complete a local plan, and EAPs (both new and revised) are accepted on a continuous basis. The office emergency action plan template available here: https://unl.box.com/s/eeogezqwvkmebavxhn7gz46t4errxp8v
