The University of Nebraska is increasing online security for everyone, adding a second layer of protection to your account login process with a tool known as Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). With 2FA, users are sent a notification to their phone (tablet, keyfob token or office phone, etc) when logging into a service like email, MyRed, Canvas, or Firefly. Enhanced security will be the norm at the University of Nebraska, and we are encouraging everyone to get a head start in protecting their accounts with Two-factor Authentication, powered by Duo.

This new feature of protection will go into effect for the Lincoln campus on May 15. University of Nebraska ITS recommends enrolling now. On May 15, you will be enrolled automatically.
