Graduate students and postdocs are encouraged to attend a virtual presentation on advancing institutional innovation for a more inclusive and diverse STEM faculty on November 15, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Dr. Marco Barker, vice chancellor for diversity and inclusion, will review existing challenges and opportunities within efforts to diversify STEM faculty and share updates on the assessment conducted on STEM programs at the university.

Join the presentation using this Zoom link on November 15 at 2 p.m.

This presentation is guided by Aspire’s Institutional Change initiative, which calls upon participating institutions to assess current practices and resources related to the recruitment and retention of STEM faculty from underrepresented groups and ensure all STEM faculty employ inclusive teaching, advising, and research mentoring before developing and implementing an action plan to scale across all STEM programs.

Attendees can expect to learn more about the progress of this initiative on campus as well as future opportunities for engagement in the process; questions and feedback are welcome during or after the presentation on November 15.
