OPPORTUNITY: Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methods Assistantship

The Teaching with Emerging Media Arts (Art TEAMS) project team is seeking a full-time graduate research assistant who supports with executing research using qualitative and/or quantitative methods. The student will participate in a federally funded research project on the development and evaluation of a teacher professional development program.

Project Overview
The Teaching with Emerging Media Arts (Art TEAMS) project aims to leverage New Media Arts to support student engagement and self-directed learning across the curriculum. Building on a 4-year professional learning framework pilot project in Lincoln Public Schools, the project team will create a professional development program in emerging media arts-integrated learning for current teachers to support innovations in teaching in Nebraska public schools.

Assistantship Details
The student will assist with: field data collection using interview, focus group, and survey; analyzing the qualitative data using qualitative research tools (e.g., NVivo, MAXQDA); managing and analyzing quantitative data; disseminating research findings; participating in meetings.

Individuals with strong organization skills, attention to details, communication skills, and willingness to take leadership roles are strongly encouraged to apply. Working knowledge and skills in basic to moderate quantitative method will be preferred.
