The Graduate Student Assembly (GSA) General Assembly met for the third time this semester on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.

  • A major goal of the GSA this year is filling several graduate student positions on university-wide committees, as well as at-large representative spots on GSA. Spots on the Chancellor's Commissions for the Status of Gender and Sexual Identity, the Status of People of Color, and the Status of Women are still open as are positions on various ASUN Committees.

If you are interested in serving, contact GSA VP of Representation Venn Jemkur at vprepresentationgsa@unl.edu.

  • The Graduate Travel Award Program (GTAP) is returning this year. Conference travel grants of up to $400 (domestic) to $600 (international) are available. Contact gtap@unl.edu for more information.

  • The Assembly also heard from Rosalind Kichler about Unionize UNL’s ongoing commitment drive. Unionize UNL is hoping to get as many grad student responses as possible to their Commitment Survey in order to better inform their goals going forward. More information on UUNL can be found in their welcome letter.
