Many graduate students need to collect survey data for their thesis, dissertation, or other research project, but many students do not know where to start. The Bureau of Sociological Research (BOSR) will provide the practical steps of preparing for and implementing a survey, including designing the right methodology, writing survey questions, and visual design considerations. By the end of the session, you should have additional insight on:
- What survey methods are appropriate for your project
- How to get started in the planning process
- How to write survey questions tailored to your research
- Why visual design matters
