Traffic Coordinator/Sales & Marketing Assistant - KOLN/KGIN-TV (Lincoln, NE)

As our Traffic and Copy Coordinator, you will be responsible for scheduling the correct commercials with the appropriate orders and for maintaining the inventory of all commercial material. You will be receiving all television commercials coming into the stations and taking appropriate action for each commercial, including working with advertisers and agencies to insure that all instructions and commercials are received prior to airing.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
> Maintain inventory of assigned VTR numbers. Assign new numbers as needed. Clear expired numbers in a timely manner.
> Process and instruct traffic information forms and all commercials that are sent to the stations. Prepare dub request as needed and deliver to production department.
> Enter and check rotation instructions for each commercial and each order, working as far in advance as allowed.
> Determine that all commercial spots on daily program logs are instructed and that the information is accurate.
> Review uninstructed spot report daily and contact clients and advertising agencies to obtain missing commercial material. Maintain file of commercial instructions.
> Maintain inventory of commercials produced by our creative services staff which have expired and are being held for future use. Purge inventory of material which has been held more than twelve months on a regular basis.
> Maintain inventory of commercial material which has been received but not ordered. Inform sales department of traffic received that does not match-up with the order and if there is no order for traffic received.
> Work with the Sales and Marketing Department in the day-to-day operation of selling KOLN/KSNB/KCWH/NSNB/KNOP/ KNPL/KIIT and digital advertising to local direct and agency clients and assist the team when needed.
> Interact with other departments at the stations to ensure that the client(s) receive a good buying experience from the minute they say yes until the bill is paid in full.
> Accurate and timely paperwork and on-going communication with clients, managers and co-workers.

Requirements:
> Prior advertising sales experience preferred (television, digital, radio, print, etc.).
> General knowledge of mathematics, computer software programs, creative business writing, listening and verbal communication skills.
> Have good organizational and time management skills with the ability to work in a team setting as well as independently.
> Must be able to work quickly and accurately under deadlines and be able to prioritize workload.
> Must have a pleasant personality and good social skills. Have a positive attitude and adapt to change easily.
> Must maintain business-like and professional dress and appearance.
> Must possess a valid driver's license and have a reliable automobile.
