As a Marketing and Communications Intern with Iowa Select Farms, no two days will ever be the same! From working on special writing projects and event facilitation to gaining hands on experience in social media management and public relations, this intern will be treated to a fun, fast-paced internship.
In this role, the selected intern will report directly to the Director of Communications and have the opportunity to work on various projects for Iowa Select Farms and philanthropic efforts through the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation. The position will be based out of a West Des Moines office and be expected to complete a minimum 35-40 hours of work per week. The selected candidate will be compensated $13/hour and must have reliable transportation to work every week.
The main focus of this internship will be content development and revision. Thus, qualified applicants must be excellent writers with strong attention to detail. Prior experience developing press releases and content for online and social media platforms is a plus. Students pursuing degrees in Communications, Magazine Media, News and Public Relations are strongly encouraged to apply.
