The Social Media Intern is responsible for coordinating and executing The Marina District’s social media strategy. This role offers experience working in different industries and total immersion into a fast pace digital environment. The intern will work closely with key members of staff and will be instrumental in increasing our social media presence and gaining visibility of our brands.
Responsibilities:
> Monitor/reply to comments on our social networks from patrons/clients. (initially under supervision of director)
> Assist with online promotion using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and other platforms
> Increase the number of likes, followers & subscribers by engaging with potential clients/patrons
> Produce daily posts on our social media accounts
> Maintain the company’s social media online calendars
> Create custom social media content
> Coordinate weekly email campaigns with director
> Brainstorm ideas to further social media presence and exceed goals
Requirements:
> Marketing, Business, Communications or Graphic Design major
> Experienced with multiple social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and Snapchat
> Basic photography skills
> Solid understanding of Adobe Creative Suite
> Energetic, creative with a great ability to communicate
> Ability to multi-task; plan and execute objectives
> Hard-working and team-oriented
> Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays
