Social Media and Marketing Internship - UNL College of Business (Lincoln, NE)

The Communications, Marketing and External Relations team at the College of Business is looking for a rockstar UNL student who can utilize social media to tell compelling brand stories about the college and business student life.

The Role:
> Assist with social media communications, including content planning, writing, editing, curating, designing and posting.
> Coordinate Instagram takeovers.
> Engage audiences through online community management and help build and nurture the Nebraska Business community.
> Plan and execute ways to reach more business students by having them follow @NebraskaBiz.
> Assist with new creative thinking and execution, work with our clients and creatives to deliver scroll-stopping social content.

Necessary Skills:
> Actively use personal social media – you tweet in your sleep and post photos to Instagram in between classes. Experience with social media for business preferred.
> Communicate like a pro with your professional writing/editing skills.
> Love to get to know others in the College of Business or call on your CoB student friends. Enjoy highlighting students, faculty, staff and organizations doing great things. You have a pulse on what's happening on campus and in the college.
> Creatively problem solve and have an eye for design.
> Contribute individually and participate in a strengths-based team.

Extra Credit:
> Proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite.
> Ability to integrate new design, video and photography into your content.
> Be in the know and curate content from what’s being shared in the social media space.
> Feel comfortable in front of the camera as well as behind the lens.

This is a paid internship for the 2020-21 academic year with periodic performance coaching. The position would be 6-8 hours a week, Monday-Friday between 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Some off-hours work may be needed to cover events.
