The writer will research topics, interview clients and sources, and develop interesting posts that will appeal to our target audience and promote the blog using social media. You should be a skilled, tech-savvy writer who can create appealing, insightful posts that will reach and grow our audience.
Omaha Headshot Co. is a growing photography company operated by UNL CoJMC alum Lane Hickenbottom. Our clients are businesses and individuals who are looking to grow their own markets. There are two primary types of posts we want to publish: posts that celebrate our client’s successes and illuminate their businesses; and posts that educate and inspire on topics such as marketing, personal branding, B2B networking, social media, engagement, etc.
Blogger Responsibilities:
> Generating, researching, and pitching ideas for posts (we have a long list of ideas!).
> Writing, editing, publishing, and promoting content (promotion can be through our channels, you don’t have to lend us yours).
> Promoting new posts using our social media and other methods to alert and attract new readers.
> Advocating and educating others about interests, products, or services.
> Maximizing site traffic by utilizing Search Engine Optimization keywords.
Blogger Requirements:
> Students in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
> Familiarity or interest in personal development and marketing topics.
> Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills.
> Creativity and adaptability.
> Familiarity with LinkedIn a plus.
