Weekend Weather Anchor/Video Journalist
Details:
This position is a “Jack of All Trades” and will need to be someone who is willing to do many things around the station. We are looking for someone with a go-getter attitude and a positive personality, someone who is not afraid do anything needed to put a quality product on-line, on-air and out to our viewers.
Weekend Weather Anchor will be a part of our First Alert Weather Team. Successful candidates will have top-notch weather skills and will be great communicators. A meteorological degree is preferred.
Video Journalist will act as a producer, reporter, video operator, and video editor for daily news stories on days when not delivering the weather.
Qualified candidates must be creative, aggressive, and personable. Must also have a good eye, a great attitude, sound news judgment and above all, flexibility to work any shift assigned.

Experience:
Delivering accurate forecasts on the weekends as well as filling in when needed during the week.
Deliver on-air stories, including live reports and breaking news coverage, demonstrating energy, confidence, professional appearance and voice quality.
Strong news gathering, writing, and production skills and strong reporting skills
Generate and develop story ideas using beat sources, contacts, and leads
Maintains thorough knowledge of events, issues, and newsmakers in Central Nebraska
Requirements:
Organize and present information in a way that captures and maintains the viewer’s interest and is easy to understand.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to work well in fast paced environment and the ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to operate a vehicle (must possess or be able to possess a valid NE state driver's license with an excellent driving record).
Must have strong computer knowledge and a solid aptitude to learn new software

Additional Information:
