USA Today Summer Correspondent

Calling all college student journalists! Apply for the chance to report for USA TODAY from your campus next semester.
USA TODAY’s Collegiate Correspondent Program is one of the nation’s premier journalism opportunities for undergraduate students.
Correspondents are the backbone of USA TODAY College and will have a substantive impact on the content. You will hone your skills by writing for a large audience, working on a deadline and keeping content relevant.
We are looking for motivated reporters — of all majors — who are excited to bring smart, engaging stories to the USA TODAY College audience.
Collegiate Correspondents will:
Be expected to write one news story a week for the duration of the summer semester.
Be mentored by USA TODAY staff, including editorial staff mem- bers, reporters, editors, social media experts and digital team members.
Be published on USA TODAY College.
Be considered for publication on all of USA TODAY and Gannett platforms.
The position taught me a great deal about journalism, time management, university life across the USA, the collegiate audience and myself as a writer. I loved the experience and highly recommend it to the dedicated and enthusiastic journalist-in-training.
