Capstone campaigns classes schedule final presentations

Students in the advertising and public relations campaigns courses will be presenting their integrated marketing communications plans for the clients of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications.

All presentations will be streamed live at http://journalism.unl.edu.

The clients for this semester are Chevy Cruze and ServeNebraska. Students took on the Chevy College Marketing Program and will compete with other universities to determine which school has the best marketing plan. The winner gets to see their plan come to life. ServeNebraska mobilizes Nebraskans to strengthen local communities through volunteerism, collaboration and national service programs.

The capstone campaigns class allows students to experience working with a real client. The students conduct research, facilitate focus groups, coordinate surveys, outline strategy plans, conduct media analysis and execute creative pieces.

The clients often use elements of the campaigns in the field, providing students with real-life experiences and an opportunity to expand their portfolios before graduating.
