Booking Producer/Web Producer, NTV

Job duties for the Booking Producer include: Booking guests for interview segments during NTV news programs, writing scripts associated with those segments, posting content for those segments on our website and appropriate follow-through. Duties also include timing and coordination of programs and communication with on-air staff during the program’s broadcast (booth producing). This description is by no means exhaustive and other duties will be assigned.

Experience:
Skills needed include clean conversational writing, ability to communicate clearly with guests, on-air staff and behind the scenes production staff; ability to manage commitments to various news programs. The successful candidate will be able to quickly understand their own role within the TV station and how best to fill that role to make the TV station successful. The candidate will also need to learn the TV station's role in the community.

Qualified candidates must be creative, assertive, personable and above all have a great attitude, willing to do what it takes to help the station succeed. Candidates must always maintain a positive image and demeanor when working with the team and especially when dealing with the public.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills using the AP Style, able to catch spelling and grammatical errors on the fly.
Must have the ability to work well in fast paced environment and the ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to operate a vehicle (must possess or be able to possess a valid NE state driver's license with an excellent driving record).
Strong computer skills are required as well as familiarity with related tools like Skype, smart phones and all MS Office Products.
A complete understanding of various social media platforms with the ability to use those resources to boost coverage and awareness of NTV.
Time management and organizational skills are critical.
