Assistant Managing Editor R.J. Post of the Grand Island Independent will visit the CoJMC on Friday, Oct. 30 to interview for a news reporting internship for summer 2016.
He's looking for any student who has the right stuff, but the emphasis of this internship is on reporting and writing on the news side. Any additional skills are great.

Sign up for an interview at the bulletin board on second floor.

Applicants should provide three news stories they have written, in addition to resumes. A cover letter is optional. Emphasis is on published clips over class writing assignment.

GI Independent interns are treated like reporters. Reporters to write one bylined story every day, on average, plus a Sunday story every week. They will have opportunities to cover a variety of features, local and area events, crime, government meetings and probably some politics.
