Content Strategist Intern, Nonprofit Hub

Nonprofit Hub exists purely for the benefit and advancement of nonprofit organizations all over the country. We’re constantly working on articles, case studies, videos and classes to educate nonprofits on everything from marketing, fundraising and even giving them all the info they need to start an organization of their own. We know how to stay busy, and are looking for someone who can keep up and always be adding to our content machine.

Nonprofit Hub is looking for a Content Strategy Intern to join our small but nimble team in our downtown Lincoln office. You’ll be working among marketers, writers, designers and ‘we-do-it-all-ers’. Job Description
As a Content Strategy Intern, you’ll work with the Nonprofit Hub team to write and produce a variety of content pieces for our online educational resource, which garners close to 150,000 pageviews each month. A majority of your time will be spent writing content with the goal of educating nonprofits, and you’ll be putting your journalistic skills to good use when you’re interviewing thought leaders across the nonprofit sector, which will give you everything you need to produce amazing content.

Qualifications
• Can knock out a 250-1000 word article in your sleep
• Not afraid of getting or using the red editing pen (green pen acceptable)
• Can find anything through Google search (Bing skills would do)
• Knowledge of marketing trends and social media
• General concern for the world around you as you’ll be working with nonprofits
• Strong analytical skills to make sure our marketing is doing what it should
• Knows how to strike a fun/work balance
• Writing with a marketing background would be nice
• Marketing, advertising and journalism students preferred.

Tasks and Responsibilities
• Developing and writing original educational content
• Interviewing thought leaders across the nonprofit sector
• Assist with analyzing website traffic patterns
• Keep an eye on the competition and marketing trends
• Assist in creative strategy for marketing initiatives

Compensation and Benefits
Salary: Nonprofit Hub employs a two-month trial period for all interns. Based off work and achievements in the first two months of an unpaid internship, all interns undergo a review where a competitive part-time wage will be awarded to those that are brought on after the trial period.
