Multimedia Production Specialist, Exmark Manufacturing

Provides audio, visual, and multimedia development services from inception to finished product for Exmark Manufacturing (a division of The Toro Company).

SALARY RANGE:
$18 to $20 per hour commensurate with skills and experience. (Transitioning to a salaried position of
$50,000+ annual, exempt)

Duties & Responsibilities

Live Presentations: Setup, direct and produce live, interactive webinars. Assists with preparation for presentations from staff and outside presenters. Monitors all A/V levels, switches cameras and audio input. Edits and converts video into streaming files for web archive.

Project Management (As Necessary): Meets with staff to establish expectations and needs. Produces a proposal including the range and scope of work, timelines, and any additional costs. Develops design ideas and acquires staff approval. Produces quality product employing industry standard production values (i.e., flow, visual presentation, style guidelines, transitions, pre-visualization, etc.).

Media Production: Converts variety of files into appropriate digital formats. Edits and provides QA for final programs. Produces finished product and presents to supervisor for approval. Takes photos as well as produces stock video and audio files and maintains stock library for use in publications and websites. Edits and enhances digital images to create desired effects, using editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite.

Online Training Materials: Transforms standard presentations into online media presentations. Assists staff with development and design of support documents, videos, narratives or other electronic resources. Assists staff with webinar & video conference solutions. Manages and distributes department content and resources as appropriate.

Videography and Editing Services: Creates in-studio recording from scripted materials (scripts, storyboards, shot schedules, etc.). Conducts on-site interviews and b-roll recordings. Edits video per project management plan, adhering to Exmark’s branding standards by use of logo and color schemes in motion graphics.

Multimedia/Graphic Design: Provides graphic design and multimedia production consultation. Develops custom graphics, multimedia presentations or similar content to support projects using Adobe Creative Suite, Motion, Final Cut Pro X, Camtasia and other products as needed..

TRAVEL: Occasional travel may be required. Must possess a valid driver's license, travels independently and works in a variety of settings. Either possess or capable of acquiring a valid Passport.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Maintains hardware, software and equipment used in carrying out duties. Identifies, evaluates and recommends emerging digital media technologies and methodologies. Performs other associated duties as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT: This job requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions; frequently sitting at a desk or workstation using a computer display, keyboard and mouse; frequently listening to and talking with staff members or other individuals in person or by phone; infrequent travel to other work locations. On-site or Location assignments are possible and may require preparation outside of normal office hours and in a variety of environments (indoor and outdoor). Must be capable of moving equipment required for setting up, supporting and acquiring audio and video recordings. Must be able to climb ladders and work with overhead audio, video and lighting equipment.

Qualifications / Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: Associate's degree in a related field and two years of experience (in areas such as digital photography, digital videography, and digital audio production) related to the essential functions of the position. Any equivalent education and/or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.

PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in related areas such as broadcast journalism, film production, media production, advertising or business communications. Experience with and knowledge of Macintosh OSX, Windows and mobile operating systems. Two or more years of experience in digital photography, including ability to operate digital photography equipment and edit images using photo editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite. Training or experience in using software such as Final Cut Pro X, Camtasia, Motion. Knowledge and experience in CD, DVD, Podcast, Video Compression and distribution. Training or experience with Microsoft Office software. Experience with a Learning Management software and Learning object repository.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

KNOWLEDGE: Digital media production (e.g., scripting, storyboarding, directing, lighting, sound engineering, color correction, editing, pre-visualization, etc.), delivery, theories, technologies, principles, concepts and methodologies; Existing and emerging digital media services, applications, and technologies; Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction; Still Photo camera operation, principles of photography (e.g., lighting, composition), and photo editing; Podcast creation and web posting; compression techniques and processes for web-based video; Interviewing Techniques.

ABILITIES: Operate multiple digital video cameras, video switcher, and audio equipment; Utilize multiple software applications to complete one task (such as Final Cut Pro X, Motion, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, MS Office, as well as others); Think creatively to develop, design or create new ideas, relationships, or products; Interact with supervisors, employees, vendors and customers to gain their cooperation and to establish effective working relationships; Communicate verbally and in writing; Evaluate customer needs or objectives and make recommendations for suitable solutions; Apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues or concerns regarding assigned activities; Troubleshoot and conduct minor maintenance of, or arrange for professional repair of equipment used; Organize, plan and prioritize work; Manage several projects concurrently; Perform work with minimal supervision.
