Currently, NBC is seeking a Communications Intern interested in gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The position is paid with an expectation of working at least 20 hours per week.
Position overview:
In the role of Communications Intern, you would assist the Communications Manager with a variety of duties. Primary responsibilities would include:
Writing, creating, and posting internal news articles and weekly newsletters
Copyediting and branding NBC documents and materials
Helping to maintain intranet content
Assisting with content as a member of NBC’s social media taskforce
Helping to plan and execute team member appreciation events
Other duties as assigned
Necessary qualifications, skills, and abilities:
Two completed years of undergraduate coursework preferred
Pursuit of a degree in Communication, Journalism, English, or related field is preferred
Passion for writing and excellent editing and communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and collaboration skills
Extremely strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality

Preferred experience/knowledge:
Some previous work experience preferred
Knowledge of AP Style preferred
Photoshop, InDesign, or other graphic design experience is a plus, but not required
Familiarity with social media platforms
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
