Currently, NBC is seeking a Communications Intern interested in gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The position is paid with an expectation of working at least 20 hours per week.
Position overview:
In the role of Communications Intern, you would assist the Communications Manager with a variety of duties. Primary responsibilities would include:
 Writing, creating, and posting internal news articles and weekly newsletters
 Copyediting and branding NBC documents and materials
 Helping to maintain intranet content
 Assisting with content as a member of NBC’s social media taskforce
 Helping to plan and execute team member appreciation events
 Other duties as assigned
Necessary qualifications, skills, and abilities:
 Two completed years of undergraduate coursework preferred
 Pursuit of a degree in Communication, Journalism, English, or related field is preferred
 Passion for writing and excellent editing and communication skills 

 Strong problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and collaboration skills
 Extremely strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality
 Must apply with a cover letter, resume, and an instructor’s letter of recommendation
Preferred experience/knowledge:
 Some previous work experience preferred
 Knowledge of AP Style preferred
 Photoshop, InDesign, or other graphic design experience is a plus, but not required
 Familiarity with social media platforms
 Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
