Senior Consultant Digital Media, Assurity Life

Under the direction of the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, builds marketing campaigns for core products; manages and updates marketing strategies and campaigns; fosters an integrated approach with sales; assists content writer with the development of engaging story ideas for content marketing initiatives; mentors marketing interns; performs other functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

30% Builds marketing strategies and campaigns for core products, which includes:
· working with the marketing team to develop quarterly campaigns for target segments; and
· creating original marketing assets to support campaign objectives.

30% Collaborates and fosters an integrated approach with sales team members, which includes:
· generating new marketing assets to support key distributor marketing initiatives;
· cultivating an open dialogue with sales team members and key distributors;
· co-branding materials for key distributors;
· creating and modifying PowerPoint presentations for use by sales team members as requested; and
· attending and participating in sales meetings and training opportunities.

20% Manages and updates print marketing pieces, PDFs, e-mail blasts and website, which includes:
· creating new consumer brochures and agent specifications as new products are introduced or outdated pieces need replaced; and
· designing assets for advertising in national trade publications.

10% Assists content writer with development of engaging story ideas for content marketing initiatives, which includes:
· using firsthand insights to help content writer originate content ideas that engage, inform, and entertain our key audience segments; and
· providing supporting assets for content marketing pieces

10% Performs other functions, which includes:
· attending workshops to maintain and grow technical knowledge;
· traveling with sales teams when development opportunities arise; and
· reviewing content assets from competitors and third party resources to stay informed on relevant industry topics of interest.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Four to six years experience in channel marketing, advertising, public relations, or related field
Insurance knowledge strongly preferred
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs, such as InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, AfterEffects and DreamWeaver
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Working knowledge of HyperText Mark-up Language (HTML) as well as file-optimization basics for maximum downloading efficiency
Experience in SharePoint Designer and Articulate Storyline is preferred

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, advertising, communication, marketing, related field or equivalent

PHYSICAL AND WORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
May require work in excess of 45 hours a week in order to complete functions of position
