National Geographic magazine is seeking a talented intern to contribute to and learn about the production of art and information graphics. The intern will work closely with graphic editors to learn about the development of and production processes for graphics in the magazine.
The intern will:
Collaborate with graphic staff in the design and production of information graphics and art for use in print or on the web. These duties may range from translating data into charts and graphs to generating illustrations or animations.
Help develop story ideas by researching science, wildlife, space, and technology news
Experience firsthand how the magazine is produced
Learn how to operate effectively in a professional office environment by attending meetings, corresponding with external partners and consultants
