Injury Prevention Program

Title: Motor Vehicle/Traffic Safety Communications Intern
Pay: $10/hour. Application deadline May 13, 2016

Work Requirements:
• Report directly to: Peg Ogea-Ginsburg (402-471-3490 - peg.ogeaginsburg@nebraska.gov) and/or Jeanne Bietz (402-471-0361- jeanne.bietz@nebraska.gov)
• Part-time: 10 – 20 hours/week
• Establish a weekly time commitment and daily schedule. Intern will be responsible for adhering to established time commitment and tracking hours.
• Have the ability to work independently.
• Start: June 1, 2016 (flexible)
• End: September 2016, with a possibility of continuation


Job Responsibilities:
• Work with staff to coordinate “Teens in the Driver’s Seat” program communications.
• Work on traffic safety campaigns.
• Coordinate the creation or revision of media and/or educational pieces that address motor vehicle safety.
• Create Twitter and Facebook messaging around various traffic safety areas.
• Assist staff with website updates and newsletter content.
• Work with staff to write and edit reports and fact sheets.
• Assist with evaluation/assessment activities.
