Student Worker, Rural Futures Institute

Work with a fun and creative team at the Rural Futures Institute to grow and add capacity to the ‘Connecting Young Nebraskans’ network and Rural Futures Institute social media platforms. Student will work closely with RFI team to develop a strategy and execute social media for RFI events, gatherings and general postings. In addition, student will be responsible for assisting with RFI events and will assist in the oversight of on-site social media interactions.

Student will have the ability to learn new skills and grow existing skill sets including: facilitation, press release development, social media campaigns, event planning and more. Student must be organized and game for new experiences. Some in-state travel will be encouraged but optional.
· 50% social media
· 20% event planning
· 20% App development for an RFI branded app
· 10% General RFI duties

The ideal candidate would be able to work through the 2016/2017 school year. While not required, understanding and having a passion for rural people and places would be beneficial. Can begin working immediately.

HOURS: Monday- Friday, 8am-5pm and are flexible around class schedules
